Thursday, August 12, 2010 - A Dress Affair:
7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. - TBAI Endangered Species/Ross Park Zoo Benefit Gala. This years event will be unlike any that has gone before! The three day TEA PARTY will kick off at the Thursday evening Gala Mad Hatter style. If you can, come with your Mad Hat in hand (or better yet, on head) and start the party off in fashion! Or dress as your favorite Tea Party character! Not your "cup of tea?" Then just come in your Sunday best and enjoy the fun! (Tea, coffee, juice and desserts will be served, and the cash bar will still be available!)Get a sneak peek at some of the wonderful artist creations. Free will donation; pre-registration required.
Friday, August 13, 2010 - Daytime Activities:
8:00a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - Registration and Continental Breakfast
9:30a.m. - 12:00 noon. - Visit to Nyala Farm Alpacas in Vestal, NY. Enjoy the farm tour (approx 50 alpacas on site), spinning demonstration, and visit their alpaca/wool farm store.
9:30 a.m. - 12 noon - Nancy Wiley, renowned doll artist and illustrator presents "Creating Wonderland." Nancy will give a slide presentation, run a short video, have illustrations from her book Alice's Adventures In Wonderland, as well as a casting presentation. Immediately followed by: "Come to the Chapeau Challenge" Make yourself a Mad Hat for the Tea Party and thereby escape the Wrath of the Queen! Do you already have a hat you like but it isn't quite MAD enough? Bring it with you and we can add the dazzle, feathers and embellishments you need!
12:00 - 1:30 p.m. - Sabro Square Deli Lunch
2 - 3 p.m. - Fun and Games - Flamingo Croquet and more......
Friday Evening - 5:00 p.m. - A Dress Affair:
5:00 p.m. - Children's Classics Gallery Reception - A Dress Affair - don't forget your hats!!! (Hor d'oeuvres and cash bar). Absolutely stunning, one-of-a-kind artistry depicting some of your favorite children's classic literature created expressly for TBAI 2010.
6:00 p.m. - TBAI Artist Preview Show & Sale for Friday evening collectors and guests. You will have the first opportunity to see the artists' awesome creations.
7:15 p.m. - TBAI 2010 Feast, Auction of Teddy 2010, and presentation of the People's Choice Awards.
Saturday, August 14, 2010:
8:00 a.m. - TBAI Hot Breakfast Buffet
10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. TBAI 2010 Show and Sale open to the public.
4:30 p.m. - TBAI Cookout and tour at Ross Park Zoo.
