Thursday, August 15, 2019 - OPTIONAL (ADDITIONAL TO CONVENTION PACKAGE)
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Bus trip to the Herkimer Diamond Mines where you can mine or prospect for beautiful double sided Herkimer Diamond quartz crystals (fee.) There is also a museum, a lecture and shopping at no cost! Then it is off to enjoy a 90 minute Herkimer Erie Canal Cruise along the Mohawk River (fee.) You will pass through massive guard gates, see one of the oldest surviving historic churches in NY, perhaps catch a glimpse of a bald eagle & experience being raised & lowered over 20 feet in Lock #18! Lunch and/or snacks are available for purchase at either site. For more information on the two locations check out their web sites... Herkimer Diamond Mine and Herkimer Erie Canal Cruise ADD'L FEE $50/person. This fee covers the cost of the bus, all other fees are your own responsibility. 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. -Meet 'n Greet presents, Masquerade! So, as we look back at our 25 years of wonderful shows, let's have a DO OVER! Pull out your favorite Mask/Costume and join us for a meal (pizza and salad), raffle, door prizes, friends and guess who at the kickoff to the 25th Anniversary of TBAI! Friday, August 17, 2018- Daytime Activities:
8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - Registration and Hot Buffet Breakfast
9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Visit the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, car pools will be arranged to get you to and from the zoo. (Sorry no school bus this year!)

9:30 a.m. - 12 noon - Learn the art of print making with Andrea Marcucci. Print making is a very old art technique where you carve or "cut" a design into linoleum blocks which are then coated in ink and then printed onto multi media paper creating a print. Once the block is carved it can be used over and over to print gift cards, wrapping paper, framed art, whatever makes you happy! In this workshop we will learn how to use the carving tools to create various "cuts" or lines in the linoleum blocks, how it apply ink to the linoleum using a brayer, and how to burnish the paper to achieve proper and even ink transfer. Once we have played with varying lines in out "test blocks" you will the be free to let your imagination free! The only thing you need to bring with you is your imagination and perhaps a design or image you might like to try to carving. It is best to keep images simple and in black and white. Pinterest is a fabulous place to look for images or you may like to create straight from your imagination!. Please sign up in advance.
12:00 noon - 1:30 p.m. -Buffet Lunch
1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Let's Write A Fairy Tale with Agnes Intelicato Let's write a fairy tale of our own. Agnes will write an outline of a basic fairy tale leaving gaps to be filled in. She will read the fairy tale and pause where these gaps are....point to a person in the room they will give their input and she will write it in the story. Everyone in the room will participate. Laugh or be serious..but be sure to have fun! The completed fairy tale will be read at Saturday nights dinner. Together we will create our happy ever. (There will be food for thought)
Friday Evening Activites: A Dress Affair:5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. "SPIN A FAIRY TALE" GALLERY AND RECEPTION & SHOW: Incredible ONE OF A KIND ARTISTRY judging, followed by a one hour artist show and sale exclusively for the Friday evening registered collectors and guests. 7:15 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. - TBAI 2019 Buffet Dinner, Raffle, Auction of Teddy 2019, and Presentation of the TBAI People's Choice Awards. Saturday, August 17, 2019:8:00 a.m.- 9:30 a.m.- TBAI Hot Breakfast Buffet.
10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. TBAI 2019 Show and Sale open to the public.
4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Complimentary Beer, Wine & Soda bar sponsored by Susan & Terry Quinlan.
